The Mother's Day Marketing Emails Have Started (And They're Worse Than Ever)

Isn't it wild how in 2026, some companies are STILL making assumptions that everyone loves Mother's Day?

A few years ago, I remember getting emails from some very thoughtful companies giving me the option to opt out of their Mother's Day marketing campaigns.

"AWESOME! The world is finally somewhat progressing," I thought.

They recognized that some people don't have great relationships with their mothers, or some people may have lost their mothers and such an email might be triggering, and various other reasons why one might not want to receive such emails.

And today, in 2026, when I wrongfully thought this intelligent line of thinking would continue or something, I get this gem (with my commentary in pink for your entertainment):
